Camera Technology and the Race to Keep Up

I worked as a camera operator working for nearly 10 years. Compared with a career average is the amount of relatively short time. In terms of camera technology, however, 10 years is equivalent to several lives.

For example, when I entered the industry, I surveyed the equipment used by my fellow operators. I tried to buy my first professional video camera and I wanted something that was much sought after. For my part, which were mostly shooting reality TV shows and videos for the web, there was an obvious choice.He was the Panasonic DVX100A, which at that time cost about $ 5000. He had a standard definition camera with a brand new feature that has tickled the world - the ability to shoot 24 frames per second, which produced a more cinematic look. The picture quality is far superior to my standard-definition camera, even the images previously celebrated 24P. Eventually I got comfortable with the P2 workflow and have been adjusted again.

Fortunately and unfortunately, in the last two years the industry has begun another major change with the advent of digital SLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) cameras.These cameras are essentially the cameras that have been converted to video cameras as the technology improved enough to shoot 1080i HD video compact flash cards. Again, I was reluctant to make the change, even as I watched many of my colleagues do. Due to the fact that the original purpose of these cameras is to take pictures, they do not receive professional microphones without expensive adapters, which was a deal breaker for me, at least until I tried a .

Eye-Fi does not support the use of SD to CF card adapters with the Eye-Fi Card. Eye-Fi has not tested the Eye-Fi Card in cameras designed to use CF cards and has no explicit knowledge to share about the success of these adapters when used with an Eye-Fi Card. We only support the Eye-Fi Card in cameras designed to use SD or SDHC cards.
