Police look for leads to catch Helena thief

Helena police are looking for assistance in identifying and apprehending a thief.

On the evening of June 16, 2011, a person or persons forced their way in to several vehicles in the parking lot between Batch Fields and the Bill Robert's Golf course, and then stole purses from the cars.

The next day, June 17, 2011, the suspect pictured above, a woman with blond or light brown hair, was captured on security video at the American Federal Savings Bank in Bozeman, Montana, withdrawing $4,000 from the savings account of one of the people whose purse was stolen in Helena the day before.

The suspect was also reported by the bank in Bozeman to be driving a 2004 or newer silver Pontiac Grand Prix with silver or chrome rims.
