Outstanding!! I was incensed when Guy was even in the SAME BUILDING as those three REAL culinary masters.
The reader who sent in the response that TV Guide used is right on the money. Nothing more than a way to plug the Food Network.
Rachael Ray has a charm and a way with the audience that will keep her on the air for some time, regardless of how annoying she is. Lots of people like her simple recipes, and her show is lots of fun to watch. However, there is no excuse for having Guy Ferry on the show when “legend” is part of the show’s title…
I would actually beg to differ. Guy is TOTALLY legendary. Where in the history of the world are you going to find a bigger asshat than this clown? The “jeer” does not specifiy that the guests on the show were all necessarily CULINARY legends. Sure, if you look at them, that might have been the intention, but perhaps the producers said, “We have all these hotshot cooks–how about tossing in a total f*ckwit, just for variety? Guy is certainly a legend among f*ckwits!” See? His presence makes perfect sense.
Todays “Celebrity Chefs” hold nothing compared to the ones that made cooking and cooking shows popular. Can we even call the personalities on Food Network Celebrity Chefs? I miss the days were I could turn on the channel and enjoy whoever was on Food Network. Now I can’t even sit thru a few minutes of their programing. Tushi and Gordan Elliot screwed this channel up, thinking they know what we want to watch, who are all just pawns who do what the execs want, with no real personality….Love Alton though….
